? The 2011 Alaska SBA Young Entrepreneur of the Year is Tyler Arnold, owner of Tyler Systems LLC of Anchorage Coach Sunglasses. Arnold has come a long way in his 18 years. When he was 9 years old, he was fascinated with water agitation and the mechanics of sprinklers. This preoccupation became lucrative when he began going door to door in his neighborhood asking folks if he could water their lawns. His watering efforts financed other ventures such as his love for computers and technology. At 12, Arnold discovered eBay, buying and selling computers for profit. Before he was 16 Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses, he assembled a multi-page business plan detailing his future endeavors. His objective was to cajole $400 worth of seed money from his parents to start his first outsourcing business. After recruiting clients like Microsoft, eBay and HBO, he didn't know how to take his business to the next level, and sought mentors. Recent accomplishments in the past year have been invitations to speak at the TEDx Anchorage event, Showcasing Solutions sponsored by the Federal Reserve and the Southside Rotary Club Armani Sunglasses. He created Tyler Systems LLC, a successful IT outsourcing business that has severed Fortune 500 clients.
