Leonard led the Aztecs to their best season ever, when they finished 34-3 and reached the NCAA round of 16 for the first time. They lost to eventual national champion Connecticut in the West Region semifinals. Coach Steve Fisher said he met with Leonard and his family and gave them as much information as possible.
