Shelden Williams

Shelden Williams, a two-time National Defensive Player of the Year at Duke, is a member of a New York Knicks team that will face the Boston Celtics in the opening round of the 2011 NBA Playoffs. Williams has played in 17 games (six starts) with the Knicks since joining the team from Denver following a trade deadline deal. NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Former University of Michigan men's basketball standout DeShawn Sims (2007-10) was selected as the NBA Development League's 2010-11 Rookie of the Year on Friday (April 15) based on a vote by the league's coaches. Sims, who also earned All-NBADL third team and All-NBADL All-Rookie first team, averaged 20.3 points per game, fourth best in the league, in 48 games with the Maine Red Claws. He also pulled down 7.7 rebounds per contest and shot 50.6 percent from the field during the season. Sims scored in double figures in 41 games and registered 13 double-doubles Arnette Sunglasses.
